Optical Fiber

G.657.A1

Bend-insensitive, low water peak single-mode fiber | Bend radius down to 10 mm | 242 µm coating | ITU-T G.652.D / G.657.A1

The G.657.A1 Bend-Insensitive Single-Mode Optical Fiber combines the full transmission characteristics of standard non-dispersion shifted single-mode fiber with significantly improved bending performance. Supporting full-band transmission from 1260 nm to 1625 nm, it maintains low loss at bend radii as small as 10 mm in the long-wavelength band. Fully compatible with existing G.652.D networks, its precise geometry ensures low splice loss and high splicing efficiency, while excellent PMD performance supports high-speed transmission over long repeater spacing — making it the preferred choice for FTTH, compact cables, and space-constrained installations.
