Optical Fiber

G.657.A1 – 200 µm

Reduced-diameter, bend-insensitive single-mode fiber | 200 µm coating | Bend radius down to 10 mm | ITU-T G.652.D / G.657.A1

The G.657.A1 200 µm Optical Fiber delivers the complete transmission characteristics of non-dispersion shifted single-mode fiber in a reduced 200 µm coating diameter. It supports full-band transmission from 1260 nm to 1625 nm with the 1383 nm water peak eliminated, and maintains low loss at bend radii as small as 10 mm in the long-wavelength band. Fully compatible with existing G.652.D fiber, its precise geometry ensures low splice loss and high splicing efficiency. The reduced coating enables smaller, lighter, higher fiber-count cables — ideal for micro-duct and space-constrained network builds.
