The Byteworx Double Rack Outdoor Cabinet is a high-capacity outdoor telecom cabinet built to house, cool and power transmission equipment at critical sites. It is designed for high-temperature, grid-unstable conditions. The cabinet holds the equipment, power systems, battery bank and active cooling in a single IP55-rated aluminium enclosure, so the network keeps running long after grid power fails.

At Byteworx | Custom Wraps, the Double Rack ODC is delivered as a complete, ready-to-deploy system with two sections:

Upper section: houses the transmission equipment and is cooled by dual DC air conditioners.
Lower section: holds dual power systems and a lithium-ion battery bank in an N+N configuration, cooled by fans.

Rack layout, power sizing, backup duration and cable entry are engineered around each site's load and requirements.

Key Features

IP55-rated outdoor enclosure (IEC 60529): aluminium construction, sealed against dust and water.
Size and layout: 2100 x 850 x 750 mm (H x W x D), with 14U of 19-inch space for equipment in the upper section and 24U for power and battery in the lower section.
Dual DC air conditioning: 2 x 500W, 48V DC air conditioners, designed to hold about 25°C inside the cabinet at 50°C ambient.
Dual power systems: 2 x 6 kW / 48V DC power systems, each built with N+1 rectifier modules for redundancy.
Lithium-ion battery bank: 4 x 100Ah / 48V modules in an N+N configuration, sized for 10 + 10 hours of backup at the designed load.
Additional fan cooling: 4 x 4-inch, 190 CFM DC fans.
Safety and service: smoke sensor, door limit switch and internal LED lighting.
Secure, sealed front door: heavy-duty 3-point locking with a flush-fitted built-in padlock. It has EPDM gasket sealing, a door arm with 120° opening restriction, and an earth stud with cable.
Outdoor-grade finish: RAL 7035 fine matt shade with 80 to 100 micron PP coating.
DCDB panel included: a 3U DCDB, with provision in the upper section.
Customisable cable entry: a bottom gland plate with 4 to 6 glands, with gland size and quantity set to client requirement.
Organised cabling: ABS cable loops on both 19-inch pillars, with U-pattern marking.
