FRP and GRP structural pultruded profiles combine glass fibre reinforcement with a resin matrix, which undergoes continuous formation and curing to yield a product with remarkable strength and resilience. The mechanical properties of GRP structural pultruded profiles are on par with — and in many cases better than — steel, while being a fraction of the weight and completely corrosion-free. Available in an extensive selection of shapes and sizes — including U Channel, I-Beam, H-Beam, Square Box, Round Tube, Angle, Rod, Handrail Profile, and many customised sections — FRP structural profiles are suitable for a wide range of industrial and construction applications where conventional steel or wood would corrode, degrade, or require excessive maintenance. As standard, Isophthalic polyester resins are used for the matrix. Isophthalic Resin offers moderate corrosion resistance and fire resistance; Vinyl Ester Resin offers extreme corrosion resistance and fire resistance.
